Take a Powder, Wash a Dog

Our clients came to us with a 100+ year old carriage house they hoped to transform. They pictured a first floor where they could entertain and spend quality time with family. Up for the challenge, we were happy to help. For the bathrooms their goal was to create a first floor bath that could function as both a powder room and a guest bath with a bit of “wow” factor. Upstairs, they were looking for a more traditional bath. Scroll on to see how we checked the boxes on their wishlist.

First Floor Guest Bath

Since the first floor bathroom would rarely be used for showers, our client opted for a “wet room” approach. There is no shower glass, and the floor gently slopes toward a linear drain at the wall. Take a powder, take a shower, wash a dog - it’s all possible here.

Primary Bath

Upstairs, the primary bathroom pairs interesting materials like the blue Fireclay tile and natural stone on the vanity with warm modern touches everywhere else. What you don’t see is almost as important as what you do: the toilet is in a separate water closet with a pocket door.
