This is a shot of the siding and fence we put in where we removed an old shed addition in Riverside Fishtown. The shiplap siding and fence boards are white cedar that was sawn from the parts of an old water tank from the roof of a building in the Bronx. We got this reclaimed wood from our friends at Provenance

Spring is here. Time to take a close look at the exterior of your house. Other than the normal signs of wear, look for damage that may have been caused by ice. We had a lot of snow melt and cold nights, and the ice formed can tear down gutters, flashing, etc.

Here's a shot of the framed 2 story addition. All FSC lumber and plywood. Note the 2x6 walls for more insulation.
